Contemporary and timeless, the detail on this ring gives it a lovely texture and color that accentuate the stone! 
 
Fabricated by hand using sterling silver rectangle wire that is cut, stamped, bent, soldered, hammered, filed, and polished to form the ring shank. A gap is cut out of the shank for a stone setting. A piece of sterling silver tubing is cut and soldered in the gap. Pieces of sterling silver and 14ky gold are cut, some are melted into tiny spheres, and soldered to the ring shank. The fine silver is raised to the surface to help prevent tarnishing. An oxidization liquid is placed on the ring before it's put through a tumbler to enhance the texture. The stone is bezel set, an optional patina is added, and the piece is brought to a glossy finish. Can be ordered with or without the patina (darker) finish.

Ring shank is 6mm wide and 2mm thick.
 
The stone is a natural 5mm round, faceted iolite.
