Sterling silver and 14 karat gold ring with a pink tourmaline stone. Very contemporary and classy! Fabricated by hand using sterling rectangle wire cut, stamped with the artist's initials, bent, hammered and soldered shut to form a ring shank. The shank is polished before a 14 karat gold oval setting and 14K wire are soldered to it. The fine silver is raised to the surface to remove firescale and prevent tarnishing. An 8x6mm synthetic oval birthstone is gypsy set in the gold and the piece is brought to a glossy finish. Ring measures 7mm wide and 1mm thick.
